My name is Anthony and I'm here to help you. I created this blog to help kids like myself with problems such as school, friends and parents. I'm going to share with you some of my personal experiences with all the things listed. And hopefully you will learn from my mistakes, accomplishments, and goals.
On The Playground
My Experience:
One time when I was on the playground with my friend Chris(My first time on the playground) some kid started hazing me for no reason, talking about my Afro (It was 2008 so I guess it's a little hard not to). Anyway somewhere between the hazing, the kid called me a ball licker. I ran to the dugout and cried, where I was comforted by..."Selena" she stayed there with me while I cried. The next day I told my mother, who obviously blew it out of proportion(I always liked that about my mother because every time she blew something out of proportion it entertained me), but thats just a mother bear protecting her cubs. So after the office meetings and phone calls, i am outside my classroom with the principal and the kid. The kid denied everything he was being accused of. So I called in two witnesses(make sure when you snitch, you have HARD evidence to cover it, and if they are witnesses make sure their not on the opposing team). So after my principal told him what was going to happen, the kid starting crying(this brings me to vengeance, but that's for another page), that made me feel so good about myself(being assertive). The next day at the cafeteria, my friend Chris sat down next to me and said "Why did you snitch on Elijah?" I said "WHAT!?", I was so angry at him, I told him I would snitch on the whole school if it affects me. Later that day I found out that him and "Elijah" were best friends(probably still are for all I know). Chris and I grew farther apart that year. We are at a Christmas party at my school now. I sat alone at my group desks for what felt like the entire party. I overheard Elijah and Chris at another table. Chris asked Elijah if he wanted to go sit at my table, Elijah just shook his head(no). I could have used some company that day, but I was always a little glad they didn't sit at my table because it would have just been ocwierd( my personal word for strange). But my teachers came to sit with me and then I didn't feel so lonely. I was so happy when they asked to sit down because they could have taken it upon themselves to sit down or not sit at all. I always believe that teachers always have some level of respect for their students. I have to admit that I always wanted to be like everyone else, enjoy playing football, hanging out making fun of girls, having tons of friends, being genuinely cool, having people walk behind you when you walk in the hallway. But I finally realized that that's television taking over our minds. I mean no one can be perfect. I also realize that I shouldn't use the term "weird" when describing someone, but saying "it's their normal"I always liked that term. It's fun to pretend, sometimes pretending is all you have, so embrace yourself and be yourself. Because if Chris really wanted to be my friend he would not have let his best friend influence him into not hanging out with me. But it's ok I made better and more genuine friends anyway, and looking back on it I thank him for teach me a lesson "Real friends will always have your back"
Lessons from this story:
It's ok to pretend but not for too long..
Know who your real friends are
Enjoy the little things(teachers sitting with me for example)
Revenge is best served cold
