Friends and School

Friends and School can be hard to master but with a little help all things can be overcome.

My Experience:
When I was eleven I started out at a new school, "Oak Hill Elementary" with what I felt like was a fresh start. My first day was mediocre, looking back on it, I realize I could have tried a bit harder. When I was at my desk a girl named "Selena" said "um could you move?" my immediate response was " Can you say please?"(I was a manners freak and didn't think it was very kind of her to address me that way). I could have just said fine and moved, but that really wasn't my style(she needed to know she was in the wrong). My mother always told me to just move on if it wasn't serious, but I had my own view of whats serious and what isn't. On my second day I was appointed to a group of students, where we would sit and work. I saw this girl I liked named "Nia" allot of people said she wasn't that cute, she was plain and ordinary in my opinion. Anyway she was a book worm, if she wasn't in her notebook taking notes, then she was writing secret messages with her pencil and eraser. Well it had been a whole week I was in Oak hill. And I still hadn't told anyone about my crush on "Nia" so I decided to tell someone in my group, my new found  friend "Chris". I told him on the road where our parents would pick us up. His response was "Are you serious" I laughed so hard when he said that. He said he wouldn't tell anyone until I was ready. It's funny how secrets can make or break friends.

Lesson Of This Story:

1.Secrets aren't always the thing that breaks friendships, in some cases they can help.

2.Be Assertive and Yourself

3.Take a chance

Even in what seems like small situations be yourself.
